From a design institute to a specialist in coal chemical engineering
Shanxi Chemical and Petroleum Design Institute was established
In July 1958, the "Shanxi Chemical and Petroleum Design Institute" was established on the basis of the former Design Office of the Shanxi Provincial Department of Petrochemical Industry. It was directly under the leadership of the Shanxi Provincial Department of Petrochemical Industry and had 252 registered employees.
three difficult years
During China's "Three Difficult Years" from 1960 to 1962, half of the employees were downsized and sent to rural areas or factories. The number of employees was reduced to 119. The entire hospital established employee "mutual aid groups" in departments.
Renamed Taiyuan Chemical Industry Company Design Institute
In 1962, according to the decision of the Ministry of Chemical Industry, it was renamed "Taiyuan Chemical Industry Company Design Institute" and was led by Taiyuan Chemical Industry Company. The party organization was the general party branch.
Learn from Comrade Lei Feng
In 1963, the "Learn from Comrade Lei Feng", "Learn from Daqing in Industry" and "Learn from Dazhai in Agriculture" campaigns were launched across the country. All departments, teams and individuals in the hospital carried out challenge and response, competition, learning, catching up, helping and surpassing activities.
Merged into Taiyuan Chemical Industry Company Design and Research Institute
In 1964, it merged with the research institute affiliated to Taihua Company and was renamed "Taiyuan Chemical Industry Company Design Research Institute", with the total number of employees growing to 396.
Renamed the Second Design Institute of the Ministry of Chemical Industry
In 1965, it was renamed the "Second Design Institute of the Ministry of Chemical Industry" and was directly under the leadership of the Ministry of Chemical Industry. It determined its professional direction as coal chemical industry and began to undertake projects assigned by the Ministry of Chemical Industry such as the Xinjiang Construction Corps Fertilizer Plant, Guizhou Chitian Chemical, and Inner Mongolia Baotou.
"Grasp revolution, promote production"
In 1966, the hospital distributed "Selected Works of Mao Zedong" and quotations to every employee, and regarded studying "Selected Works of Mao Zedong" as a political task.
Renamed Shanxi Chemical Engineering Design Institute
In 1972, it was renamed "Shanxi Chemical Design Institute" and was under the dual leadership of Shanxi Provincial Coal Chemical Industry Bureau and the National Ministry of Fuel Chemical Industry, with a focus on local areas.
Dual leadership with the ministry in the lead
In 1978, the administrative director of our institute was dual leadership by the Ministry of Petrochemical Industry and the Shanxi Chemical Industry Bureau, with the ministry as the principal authority and a national institution.
Established the Coal Chemical Technology Center Station of the Ministry of Chemical Industry
In 1979, the assessment of technical professional titles, which had been suspended for nearly 20 years, was resumed. The Coal Chemical Technology Center of the Ministry of Chemical Industry is located in our institute, which sponsors and publishes the national first-level scientific and technological publication "Coal Chemical Industry" magazine.
Implement the director responsibility system under the leadership of the Party Committee
In 1980, the name of the National "Revolutionary Committee" was cancelled, and the "Revolutionary Committee" of our institute was also abolished. The administrative leadership was restored from the "Director of the Revolutionary Committee" to the "Dean", and the dean's responsibility system under the leadership of the Party Committee was implemented.
Carry out the "Five Stresses, Four Beauties and Three Loves" activities
In 1981, our institute launched the "Five Stresses, Four Beauties and Three Loves" campaign (stress on civilization, courtesy, hygiene, order and morality; beauty of mind, language, behavior and environment; love of the motherland, love of socialism, and love of the Communist Party of China).
Transition to independent operation
In 1982, the superior authorities no longer assigned design and production tasks, and began to transition to the direction of independent operation and self-financing. Our institute has signed a number of design projects through recruitment and bidding.
Introduce enterprise-style management in public institutions
In 1983, "Enterprise Management of Public Institutions" was implemented and business tax began to be paid. In that year, business tax of 40,000 yuan was paid to the state. Our institute became the first batch of "civilized units" in Taiyuan City.
Launch the "Six Good Enterprises" campaign
In 1984, the "Creating Six Good Enterprises" campaign was launched. Various management systems and work standards centered on the job responsibility system have been established and improved, and a staff education and training department has been established.
Listed as Taiyuan Design Company of China National Chemical Engineering Group Corporation
In 1985, the central government implemented the "three working regulations" on enterprise party committees, administration, and employees' congresses, implemented the president's responsibility system, and the party committee changed from "unified" leadership to implementation of guarantee and supervision.
Implement the "project chief person in charge" system
Total quality management activities began in 1986, "Key Responsibilities", "Management Standards" and "Technical Standards" were compiled, and the implementation of international universal design systems and methods was proposed, and the "project leader" system was implemented.
Implement general engineering contracting
In 1988, we started to implement general engineering contracting. The first project was the expansion of Shanxi Yuanping Fertilizer Plant (60,000 tons of synthetic ammonia per year), which was rated as a high-quality project.
Established the Coal Chemical Design Technology Center of the Ministry of Chemical Industry
In 1990, the "Coal Chemical Design Technology Center of the Ministry of Chemical Industry" was established in our institute, and the state stopped budget allocations for our institute.
Completed the first coking general contracting project
In 1991, the first coking general contracting project (Linfen Coking Gas Project) was completed, achieving three major controls: progress, investment, and quality.
Carry forward the "three spirits"
In 1992, the Party Committee of the Academy advocated the promotion of "three spirits" (a high degree of collectivism, a spirit of seriousness and responsibility, and a spirit of hard work and dedication).
